CAMPUS NIGHTMARE: Killer Behind Bars, Student STILL Missing!

CAMPUS NIGHTMARE: Killer Behind Bars, Student STILL Missing!

A chilling case has reached a grim turning point. Hisham Abugharbieh, 26, now faces two counts of first-degree murder with a weapon in connection with the disappearances of two University of South Florida doctoral students, Zamil Limon and Nahida Bristy.

The investigation began with a domestic violence call on April 24th, leading deputies to Abugharbieh’s home. Instead of cooperation, they were met with a barricade, triggering an intense standoff that drew in SWAT teams, bomb disposal units, and crisis negotiators.

Abugharbieh surrendered after hours of negotiation, but the mystery surrounding the missing students deepened. Initial charges included unlawful handling of human remains, concealing a death, and tampering with evidence – hinting at a disturbing truth.

The discovery of human remains near the Howard Frankland Bridge confirmed the worst fears. Forensic analysis positively identified the remains as those of Zamil Limon, a geography and environmental science doctoral student last seen on April 16th.

While Nahida Bristy, a chemical engineering doctoral student, remains missing, authorities have filed additional murder charges against Abugharbieh. She was last seen on the same day as Limon, April 16th, and the search continues with urgency.

Abugharbieh and Limon were roommates, adding a layer of complexity to the unfolding tragedy. The sheriff’s office is carefully guarding details of the investigation to protect its integrity.

The case remains fluid, and investigators are urging anyone with information regarding Bristy’s whereabouts to come forward. The community is left grappling with the shock of this devastating development.
