ICE lines up to boot illegal immigrant child sex predator after bogus asylum claim, early prison release

ICE lines up to boot illegal immigrant child sex predator after bogus asylum claim, early prison release

The quiet of a North Carolina jail holds a woman with a hidden past, a past that resurfaced on March 12, 2025, with a probation violation arrest. This wasn’t a simple oversight; it triggered a swift response from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), alerting them to her custody by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.

Her name is Fratila-Ilies, and she’s far from an ordinary resident. ICE officials consider her a convicted child predator, a designation that dramatically alters her legal standing. The agency immediately requested she be held, preventing her release back into the community while deportation proceedings unfold.

The case is complex, rooted in a journey that began years ago. Fratila-Ilies arrived in the United States as a child in 2006 and was later granted lawful permanent residency – a green card offering the promise of a new life. But that promise fractured with a series of legal battles and a troubling conviction.

An initial deportation order was issued in 2017, a consequence of failing to appear at a crucial immigration hearing. However, the story didn’t end there. For five years, she fought the decision, ultimately securing a reprieve from deportation – a temporary shield against removal.

Now, that shield is threatened. The recent probation violation has reignited the deportation process, placing her once again in ICE custody. She awaits the outcome of her pending case, and the potential order from a Department of Justice immigration judge that could send her back to the country of her birth.

ICE officials emphasize that her status as a lawful permanent resident doesn’t negate the severity of her crimes. Sex crimes against a child, they assert, make her eligible for removal, and the agency stands prepared to execute the judge’s order whenever it comes.
