KIM JUST RATTLED SABERS: US NOW IN RANGE!

Kim Jong Un personally oversaw a critical test of a new rocket engine, a development North Korean state media heralded as a monumental leap forward in the nation’s ability to strike the United States. The test, shrouded in secrecy, involved a solid-fuel engine designed for weapons capable of reaching American shores.

This isn’t simply about building more missiles; it’s about fundamentally changing how North Korea wages potential conflict. Solid-fuel rockets are far more agile and difficult to detect than their liquid-fuel counterparts, offering a significant advantage in both speed and concealment. They can be prepared for launch much faster, reducing warning times for potential targets.

The engine, constructed with a cutting-edge composite carbon fiber material, reportedly generated a maximum thrust of 2,500 kilonewtons – a substantial increase from a similar test conducted just months prior. This boost in power signifies a deliberate effort to enhance the range and payload capacity of North Korea’s strategic weapons.

This undated picture released by North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Sunday, March 29, 2026, shows North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspecting the training of special operations sub-units at all levels at an undisclosed location in North Korea.

Kim Jong Un declared the test “of great significance” in elevating the country’s military strength to its highest level. The event is framed within a five-year plan dedicated to upgrading North Korea’s “strategic strike means,” a clear reference to nuclear-capable ballistic missiles and other advanced weaponry.

However, skepticism lingers among some experts. Details surrounding the test remain scarce, particularly regarding the engine’s burn time – a crucial metric for assessing its true capabilities. Some suggest the reported performance gains could be overstated, a tactic North Korea has employed in the past.

Previous engine tests were presented as the final steps before launching a new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). Despite these pronouncements, a full-scale ICBM launch utilizing the upgraded engine has yet to materialize, raising questions about potential delays or a shift in development priorities.

The possibility of external assistance, specifically from Russia, is also being considered. The two nations have strengthened ties in recent years, with North Korea providing support to Russia’s military operations in Ukraine. This deepening cooperation could be facilitating access to advanced technologies.

North Korea has consistently demonstrated its ability to develop ICBMs capable of reaching the U.S. mainland, including solid-fuel variants. Yet, past claims of technological breakthroughs have often been met with doubt, as evidenced by a recent assertion of a successful multiwarhead missile launch that was quickly dismissed by South Korea.

Despite ongoing challenges – such as ensuring warheads can withstand the extreme conditions of atmospheric reentry – many believe North Korea’s relentless pursuit of nuclear and missile technology has yielded significant progress. Years of dedicated research and development cannot be easily dismissed.

More powerful solid-fuel engines would enable North Korea to create smaller, more mobile ICBMs, capable of being launched from submarines or concealed trucks. This increased flexibility would make them even harder to track and intercept. Alternatively, the increased power could be directed towards equipping missiles with multiple warheads, overwhelming existing defense systems.

This accelerated arms build-up coincides with the breakdown of high-level diplomacy between Kim Jong Un and former U.S. President Donald Trump. Since those talks collapsed in 2019, North Korea has prioritized expanding its nuclear arsenal, refusing to consider disarmament as a condition for future negotiations.
