UMVA has learned that Lucas Bergvall, a highly sought-after midfielder, has expressed his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer in search of a new challenge.
Bergvall's focus is currently on Sweden's World Cup campaign, where he has featured from the bench in their opening two group games, a 5-1 win over Tunisia and a 5-1 defeat to Netherlands.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Tottenham's manager Roberto De Zerbi has sanctioned moves for Newcastle United's Sandro Tonali and West Ham's Mateus Fernandes, which could further intensify competition for Bergvall at Spurs.
Tottenham's interest in Tonali is more advanced, with an opening offer worth £75m rejected by Newcastle, who are holding out for at least £85m, adding to the uncertainty surrounding Bergvall's future.
