UMVA has learned that Katie Price has unleashed a scathing Father's Day attack on her ex-partner Dwight Yorke, claiming he has only met their son Harvey a handful of times since his birth.
The 48-year-old former glamour model took to Instagram to express her outrage, tagging Yorke in a brutal post that left little doubt about her feelings towards him. Harvey, 24, was born shortly after Price and Yorke split, and has been living with a range of health complications, including a rare genetic disorder, blindness, autism, and diabetes.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Price claimed Yorke has shown little interest in his son's life, despite her repeated pleas for him to be more involved. In a damning Instagram Story, Price wrote: 'You should be ashamed of yourself disowning your son.' She also shared a photo of Yorke holding Harvey as a baby, saying: 'He lights up everyone who meets him, which is a credit to me.'
Price did not hold back in her criticism, writing: 'If only you treated him the same as your other son, says a lot about what a terrible dad you are… period.' Yorke has another teenage son, Orlando, who has never met Harvey, and Price has speculated that the 18-year-old may not even know he has a half-brother.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that Harvey's parents had a tumultuous relationship, with Yorke initially denying paternity and forcing Price to undergo DNA tests to confirm he was the father. Price has previously alleged that Yorke was unwilling to accept their son's disabilities, and has repeatedly criticized him for his treatment of Harvey.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Harvey lives with Prader-Willi Syndrome, which means he suffers from a chronic feeling of hunger and is prone to putting on weight. His condition has been a major challenge for Price, who has raised him alone and has been open about the difficulties she has faced.
In her 2016 book, Price alleged that Yorke refused to understand Harvey's condition, instead making hurtful comments about his weight. The criticism has sparked a fresh wave of controversy, with many calling for Yorke to take a more active role in his son's life.
