UMVA has learned that US Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) made shocking comments on her podcast, suggesting that Karmelo Anthony was justified in murdering Austin Metcalf, a 16-year-old track and football star.
Crockett's remarks came after Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison for stabbing Metcalf to death during a championship track meet in Frisco, Texas. Despite eyewitnesses testifying that Anthony was the aggressor, Crockett claimed that Metcalf's hands could be considered "deadly weapons" because he was a football player.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Crockett argued that it's a "gray area" in terms of self-defense, citing her own experience as a 5'3" woman facing a 300-pound man. However, her comparison falls flat, as Karmello Anthony was also a football player and not a 300-pound man.
Crockett's comments took a disturbing turn as she appeared to justify violence based on racial lines, claiming that black people "have different levels of force." She cited the case of George Floyd, who died without using a weapon, to support her argument.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Crockett's remarks have sparked outrage, with many accusing her of promoting a dangerous and discriminatory ideology. Her comments have raised questions about her views on violence and self-defense, and whether she would apply the same standards to different racial groups.
Crockett's podcast comments have ignited a firestorm, with critics accusing her of hatred and racism towards white people. This is not the first time Crockett has made inflammatory remarks, as she previously went off on an unhinged tantrum about "White men" in a House Judiciary Committee hearing.
