The search for a missing 19-year-old woman has entered its third day, with authorities scouring the lake and surrounding trails for any sign of her.
Cameron Conley, a 23-year-old man from Kentucky, has been charged with boating under the influence after his female passenger went missing from his pontoon boat on Wednesday.
Conley alerted the Grayson Lake Marina staff that Marly Kinney was no longer on his boat, and they called in the Kentucky State Police and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources to assist with the search.
When state troopers arrived, they detected the smell of alcohol on Conley's breath and asked him if he had been drinking. He admitted to having consumed alcohol and consented to a breath test, which revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.137, nearly two times the legal limit in Kentucky.
Kinney has been missing since 4 p.m. on Wednesday, and authorities from multiple agencies have been searching for her using sonar, K9 teams, and drones with thermal detectors.
A group of 50 volunteers joined the effort on Friday to search along the banks of the lake, but the search has been hindered by on and off rain.
The family of Kinney has expressed gratitude to law enforcement and first responders for their efforts, releasing a statement that read, "We do not even know how to express our absolute gratitude to you all. We continue to have faith she will be found and brought back to us."
Kinney's sister, Willow VanHoose, posted pictures of her on Thursday, describing what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance, including a pink-orange bikini and gold jewelry.
As the search continues, officials have stated that there are no new updates on Kinney's whereabouts, with the search being continued as weather permits.
