Inchcape Philippines announced that it will cease distribution and support of the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram brands by June 2027, ending its current partnership with Stellantis for these models.
The collaboration began when the CATS distribution group merged with Inchcape, creating a portfolio that includes Mercedes‑Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, Changan and the CDJR brands.
Recent portfolio changes saw Inchcape return its sole Mazda dealership to Mazda Philippines, prompting industry observers to question whether the company is streamlining its brand lineup.
The termination of CDJR rights is presented as a strategic move to make Inchcape Philippines more competitive and better aligned with future market needs.
Company executives stated that focusing on brands with appropriate product ranges and pricing is essential to achieving the firm’s revenue and financial objectives.
Inchcape emphasized that the decision does not signal a withdrawal from the Philippine market; the firm remains fully committed and is in talks with multiple prospective brand partners.
Details of the new brands have not been disclosed, but a formal announcement is expected once agreements are finalized.
During the transition period, Inchcape will continue to provide after‑sales service and parts support for existing CDJR vehicle owners.
No layoffs are anticipated; personnel will be reassigned to support the upcoming brand partnerships.
Stellantis has not yet identified a new distribution partner for its CDJR lineup in the Philippines.
