UMVA has learned that Boyzone's highly anticipated farewell reunion concert took an unexpected turn when Mikey Graham, one of the band's original members, appeared for only a handful of songs.
The concert, titled One For The Road: Live at London's Emirates Stadium, marked the first time the group had performed together in nearly seven years. However, fans were left worried and wondering where Graham was when the show began without him. Instead, Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, and Shane Lynch took to the stage alone.
Graham later emerged to perform a few songs, including Words, before returning for the encore, Life Is A Rollercoaster. His limited involvement quickly became a talking point among those in attendance, with many left speculating about the reason behind his reduced role.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Graham remained seated throughout much of his appearance, sparking concern and curiosity among fans. The band did not provide an explanation for his limited participation during the concert.
The emotional concert was a tribute to former bandmate Stephen Gately, who died in 2009 aged 33. Boyzone originally formed in Dublin in 1993 and went on to become one of the biggest boybands of the 1990s, selling millions of records worldwide with hits including No Matter What, Picture of You, Love Me For A Reason, and Words.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that fans were visibly moved by seeing the four surviving members together again, with many reportedly crying during the show. Despite concerns about Graham's limited involvement, the crowd gave him a warm reception when he appeared on stage.
The band is due to perform a second farewell show, with fans hopeful that Graham will once again join his former bandmates for the emotional send-off. The reason behind Graham's limited participation remains unclear, leaving fans to speculate about what might have caused it.
