The 79-year-old pensioner, who wishes to remain anonymous, has been banned from Sainsbury's stores following an incident at her local superstore in Hook, Hampshire.
According to the pensioner, the incident involved a minor disagreement over a lottery ticket, but she claims the store staff blew the situation out of proportion and treated her disrespectfully.
The pensioner, who used to work in customer service, described the experience as "bullying" and said it has left her feeling "dumbfounded" and shaken.
As a result of the ban, the pensioner will have to walk 30 minutes to the nearest Tesco store to shop for groceries, which typically costs her between £80 and £100.
The pensioner denied being involved in any other altercations with staff and claimed the ban has ruined her routine and made everyday tasks more difficult.
A spokesperson for Sainsbury's stated that the ban was a result of "a number of incidents over time" and was taken to ensure the "safety and well-being of colleagues and customers."
The pensioner expressed her disappointment and frustration with the store's decision, saying it has left her feeling like a "criminal" and has knocked her confidence.
