Türkiye will bring 12 food manufacturers and exporters to the Philippines this month to pursue local business partnerships and deepen bilateral trade.
The companies will join business-to-business meetings on July 27, organized by the embassy’s commercial office and a Mediterranean exporters’ association alongside the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Five of the participating firms focus on poultry products, while one produces sauces and beverages. The remaining companies specialize in seafood and dairy manufacturing.
The embassy said the sessions will let participants examine Turkish food offerings, share market insights, and identify partnership opportunities.
Officials described the mission as a step toward stronger trade ties and greater awareness of Türkiye’s culinary range in the Philippine market.
The Turkish ambassador said the embassy intends to schedule additional business visits this year to expand engagement between the two countries’ private sectors.
A broader multi-sector delegation is planned for September under the country’s national exporters’ assembly to raise awareness across more industries.
The ambassador said specialized trade groups could emerge from these larger missions over time.
The longer-term objective is to convert stronger commercial relations into increased Turkish investment in the Philippines.
Bilateral trade reached $441 million in 2025, an 11.6% increase from the prior year.
In the first four months of 2026, two-way trade totaled $151 million, with $41 million in Turkish exports and $110 million in Philippine exports.
