A carefree vacation shattered in an instant. Tristan Primeaux-Poitras, just 19 years old, was enjoying a trip to the Dominican Republic when a senseless act of violence stole his life.
The tragedy unfolded in Puerto Plata early Monday morning. Tristan was riding on a scooter with his brother, Etienne, when they were confronted by two men on a motorcycle.
Etienne recounted the terrifying moments, describing how the assailants approached and one immediately brandished a firearm. Before he could process what was happening, shots rang out, leaving Tristan critically wounded.
