The World Matchplay Darts tournament was suspended on Wednesday evening after a player, identified as Cameron Menzies, was taken off stage at Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
Menzies was in the middle of a match against Ross Smith when he began to pull at his left ear and step to the side of the oche.
The Scot then bent over with both hands on his knees as Smith and the officials checked on him, before being taken off stage by medical staff.

The incident occurred during the third leg of the match, with Menzies leading 2-1 against Smith.
Following a break in play, the PDC announced that Menzies had withdrawn from the match due to a medical issue.
Ross Smith has progressed to the Quarter-Finals as a result, while the next match between Gian van Veen and Wessel Nijman is set to start shortly.

Menzies is reportedly "conscious" and "talking to his partner" backstage at Winter Gardens, but would play no further part in the match on Wednesday.
