The Bosnian international has represented his country at the World Cup, featuring in three matches and scoring a solo goal against Qatar in a 3‑1 group‑stage victory. He primarily operates on the left wing.
Chelsea’s manager had been involved in attempts to secure the player, having been impressed by his performances in Leverkusen’s youth ranks. However, the club could not match Juventus’s offer, and the transfer was completed.
