US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will hold a courtesy meeting with President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. during his visit to Manila this week, according to the Palace.
The Palace confirmed the meeting but said specific schedule and agenda details would be released at a later time.
Rubio is in Manila from July 19 to 23 to participate in the ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference, the East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, and the ASEAN Regional Forum.
The visit is intended to advance a free and open Indo-Pacific and strengthen bilateral ties between Washington and Manila.
