Recent polling reveals strong support among Democrats for prioritizing domestic interests, with a majority favoring a return to life outside the United States.

A recent survey conducted by Elon University found that 55 percent of respondents who identify as Democrats indicated they would prefer to live in another country rather than the United States.

In contrast, only 10 percent of Republican respondents expressed the same preference.

The poll also revealed a stark difference in national pride, with 68 percent of respondents overall reporting pride in America, while only 18 percent of Democrats shared that sentiment.

Despite these partisan divides, the same survey showed that 79 percent of all participants believe the United States holds a uniquely important role in world history.

The findings highlight growing ideological gaps between the two major parties regarding attitudes toward the nation’s history and founding principles.

Analysts suggest the results may influence upcoming electoral dynamics and discussions about civic education and immigration policy.
