Manchester United has completed the signing of midfielder Andrey Santos in a deal worth £48m.
Santos expressed his excitement about joining the club, stating that 'everything about Manchester United is special' and that it's an 'incredible feeling to join a club that some of my biggest idols have represented'.
He also praised Michael Carrick, saying he is the 'perfect coach' to help him take his game to the next level and achieve his dreams.
Santos was drawn to the club's ambitious nature and the strong squad, saying he 'cannot wait to fight together to compete for the biggest trophies'. He also acknowledged the club's excellent environment, which he believes will allow him to develop his skills further.
Manchester United's director of football, Jason Wilcox, welcomed Santos to the team, highlighting his technical qualities and ability to impact the game at both ends of the pitch.
Wilcox added that despite Santos' extensive experience and talent, he still has enormous potential to develop further, and the club is eager to see him flourish at Manchester United.
Chelsea, where Santos previously played, 'thanked' him for his time at the club and 'wished him well for the next stage of his career', paving the way for his move to Manchester United.
