Racial Slurs Directed at Auburn Students Spark Investigation and

Auburn University students circulated a seven-page document that listed over 250 slurs targeting White individuals. The document was shared in a GroupMe chat called “AU Student Connect,” a channel used by students on campus.

The list included derogatory remarks such as “failed abortions,” “deformed dna,” “mockery of humanity,” “bleach demons,” “albino pigs,” “not meant to exist,” and “white ‘people’ was just god experimenting.”

Images of the chat show students referencing the document, titled “Creaker Names,” to mock and ridicule White people.

The conversation escalated to threatening language, with one comment stating an intent to “body check” a White person if they did not move out of the way.

The incident raises concerns about campus climate and the potential influence of faculty. It calls for disciplinary action against all involved parties, regardless of the target of the hate.

The case highlights a perceived double standard in responses to hate speech directed at different racial groups, prompting calls for consistent enforcement of anti-hate policies.
