PIRRO DESTROYS Tapper: Trump Attacker's Manifesto BACKFIRES!

PIRRO DESTROYS Tapper: Trump Attacker's Manifesto BACKFIRES!

The attempt to connect former President Trump to the violent intentions of a would-be assassin ignited a tense exchange on CNN’s “State of the Union.” Former U.S. attorney Jeanine Pirro confronted host Jake Tapper over what she perceived as a deliberate effort to smear the former president using the attacker’s own hateful words.

The incident stemmed from a shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, where a heavily armed man bypassed security and fired upon a Secret Service agent. The suspect, 31-year-old Cole Allen of California, was quickly apprehended and charged with multiple offenses, revealing a clear intent to target Trump and his administration.

A manifesto authored by Allen surfaced, filled with venomous accusations against a figure he labeled a “p*dophile, r*pist” and “traitor,” though he didn’t explicitly name Trump. This document became the focal point of the contentious CNN interview.

Tapper initially questioned whether Trump was definitively the target, pointing to the manifesto’s sole named individual, Kash Patel. Pirro immediately challenged this line of questioning, asserting that Allen’s intent to harm Trump was obvious.

Undeterred, Tapper proceeded to read aloud the manifesto’s most inflammatory accusations, directly linking them to the former president. Pirro responded with sharp criticism, accusing Tapper of deliberately choosing to highlight the most damaging and unsubstantiated claims.

When Tapper pressed Pirro on whether Allen was specifically referring to Trump, her response was blunt and unwavering: “You’re going to have to ask him that. I don’t really care!” She refused to grant the attacker the notoriety he seemingly craved through further discussion of his twisted motivations.

The exchange highlighted a larger pattern of media scrutiny, as Trump himself had previously confronted CBS’s Norah O’Donnell for reading similar excerpts from the manifesto during an interview. He vehemently denied the accusations, calling the act “disgraceful” and demanding accountability.

Pirro’s refusal to engage with the attacker’s rhetoric underscored a firm stance against amplifying hate and sensationalizing violence. She effectively shut down Tapper’s attempt to subtly associate Trump with the criminal’s disturbing beliefs, prioritizing the principle of not rewarding malicious intent with attention.

The incident sparked debate about responsible reporting and the potential for media coverage to inadvertently contribute to the spread of harmful narratives. It served as a stark reminder of the delicate balance between informing the public and avoiding the glorification of violence and extremism.
