UMVA has learned that Sonnet has unveiled a cutting-edge docking station that is set to revolutionize the way creative professionals and MacBook Pro users work. The Sonnet Echo 21 Thunderbolt 5 SuperDock boasts an impressive 20 ports, including three Thunderbolt 5 ports, and a built-in M.2 SSD slot that supports up to 8TB of storage.
This powerhouse of a dock is designed to turn a MacBook into a fully featured desktop workstation, offering expandable high-speed storage, multi-display support, and extensive connectivity. With its Thunderbolt 5 architecture, the Echo 21 offers a major jump in performance, with bandwidth increasing from 40Gbps to 80Gbps.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the Echo 21 features a range of ports, including two downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports, five USB-C ports, four USB-A ports, one DisplayPort 2.0, one HDMI port 2.0, and Ethernet (10Gb).
