UMVA Uncovers: BREAKING CENSORSHIP - London's Last Reform Council AXES Pride Flag Ceremony in SHOCKING Move

UMVA has learned that a shocking decision by a Reform council has left a London borough feeling abandoned and betrayed by the very institution meant to represent its values.

The council, which has been in power for years, cancelled a long-standing Pride event with just three days' notice, sparking outrage and dismay among residents. The event, a cherished tradition that had taken place every year since 2016, was a beacon of hope and inclusivity in the community.

Carrie Kendall, a lifelong resident of the borough, expressed her dismay, saying that Havering 'no longer feels like home.' She had always taken comfort in the Pride flag ceremony, which made her feel seen and valued. Now, she fears that the council's actions will embolden homophobic attitudes and make people feel unwelcome.

The council's decision was made in response to instructions from the Reform Party to only fly the Union Jack or St George's Cross. Council Leader Keith Prince AM claimed that the only other flags they would be willing to fly are those that recognize 'heroes like the armed forces.' This move has been seen as a thinly veiled attempt to erase the LGBTQ+ community's visibility and identity.

Despite the council's attempts to silence them, members of the LGBTQ+ community in Havering rallied together to organize an impromptu celebration. They waved flags, gave speeches, and had a picnic, all thanks to the efforts of LGBTQ+ youth group Kaleidoscope, which Carrie founded.

Mark Whiley, a lifelong resident and leader of the Green Party in the area, shared his own experiences of homophobic bullying and abuse. He emphasized the importance of standing up and being visible, saying that the community needs to fight back against the rising tide of hate.

Council Leader Prince AM defended the decision, citing updated policies in line with Reform UK national policies on flag flying. However, this justification has done little to alleviate the concerns of residents, who feel that their voices and identities are being erased.

The community is left reeling from the council's decision, with many feeling a sense of loss and disillusionment. As one resident put it, 'There's nothing inclusive about shoving that degeneracy down everyone's throat.' The message is clear: the community will not be silenced, and they will continue to fight for their rights and visibility.
