Cracker Barrel CEO Resigns Following 'Woke' Rebrand Controversy

New York Post: Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Felss Masino will step down after the failed attempt to rebrand last year, leading to intense backlash from loyal customers, according to a Cracker Barrel press release. David Deno, a restaurant executive who previously served as CEO of Bloomin' Brands, which owns Outback Steakhouse, will take over from Masino on August 10th.

Masino's departure arrives after less than three years at the helm, during which time diners fiercely opposed the company's attempts to update the iconic Southern dining chain by removing its cherished mascot Uncle Herschel and renovating restaurants without their distinctive knick-knacks.
