UMVA has learned that a renewed ceasefire has been agreed upon between Israel and Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon, following a deadly flare-up overnight that resulted in the deaths of four Israeli soldiers.
The truce was brokered after the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a powerful response, killing dozens of Hezbollah fighters and striking over 150 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. The ceasefire was set to begin at 9 am ET, but violence continued in the region.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the talks between the US and Iran in Switzerland have been postponed, with Vice President JD Vance canceling his planned departure. President Trump is also traveling to Camp David, amid rising tensions in the region.
The ceasefire agreement comes after Hezbollah launched strikes on Israeli forces in Southern Lebanon, killing the four Israeli soldiers. In response, Israel accused Hezbollah of repeated and blatant ceasefire violations.
Hezbollah, in turn, accused Israel of intensifying its continuous violations of the ceasefire, committing massacres, and destroying residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. The situation remains volatile, with Israeli National Security Minister Itmar Ben-Gvir calling for all of Lebanon to be held accountable.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Iran's Persian Gulf Strait Authority has introduced a new requirement for ships in the Strait of Hormuz, mandating that they have insurance approved by Tehran. This move raises concerns about the fragile agreement allowing toll-free shipping in the Strait.
The situation on the ground remains tense, with both sides accusing each other of ceasefire violations. The Israeli military has struck Hezbollah command centers and terror targets in southern Lebanon, eliminating dozens of Hezbollah terrorists.
In a strongly worded statement, Israeli National Security Minister Itmar Ben-Gvir declared that "all of Lebanon must burn" in response to Hezbollah's actions. The rhetoric highlights the deepening divisions and animosity between Israel and Hezbollah.
