Durham Regional Police have charged a 30-year-old female staff member with three counts of sexual assault following an investigation into alleged incidents involving a 13-year-old male at an Oshawa group home.
According to reports, the suspect, who was taken into custody on Wednesday, allegedly engaged the victim in a sexual relationship between September and January.
The police are concerned that there may be more victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

A new image of a suspect connected to a suspicious fire in Stoney Creek has been released by Hamilton Police.
The fire occurred on June 3 at a commercial property, and investigators are seeking to identify the suspect, who is described as having dark, curly hair and was seen wearing a dark long-sleeve top, dark pants, and light-coloured shoes.
The suspect was also carrying a case of beverages and is believed to be connected to the fire.

A male has been charged after allegedly pointing a firearm at another male during a road rage altercation in Oshawa.
According to police, the suspect and victim were involved in a road rage altercation when the suspect pointed a firearm toward the victim and threatened them before fleeing.
Officers arrived and quickly located and arrested the suspect without incident.
A firearm was recovered and was found to be an imitation pistol.
The victim did not suffer physical injuries.
The suspect, Bhaviya Jiteshkumar Patel, 26, of Clarington, is charged with pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon, and weapons dangerous.

Two boys, aged 14 and 15, face multiple charges after Hamilton Police investigated a series of frauds involving counterfeit currency used in Facebook Marketplace transactions.
In December 2025, investigators began examining reports from victims who had sold items through Facebook Marketplace and were subsequently paid with counterfeit Canadian currency.
The suspects allegedly used fictitious Facebook accounts to arrange meetings with sellers at locations in Hamilton's west end, providing counterfeit bank notes in exchange for merchandise.
Investigators believe more than 10 incidents are linked to the same suspects, with victims receiving in excess of $20,000 in counterfeit currency.
The boys were charged with three counts each of fraud under $5,000, uttering counterfeit money, possession of counterfeit money, and possession of property obtained by crime.
