A chilling web of deceit and violence continues to unravel around Howard Wang, a California man already accused of a horrific double murder. The case, initially focused on the deaths of his wife and mother-in-law, has now expanded to include a third victim – the boyfriend of his alleged mistress.
On September 18, 2025, Linlin Guo and Beimin Cheng were found dead in their Walnut Creek home, their lives brutally ended by a calculated act of violence. Investigators allege Wang slashed their throats and fired gunshots, then attempted to mislead authorities with a fabricated story of a home invasion.

Yan Wang’s involvement didn’t stop at simply removing evidence. Prosecutors claim she actively aided Howard Wang in the aftermath of the killings, providing knowledge and assistance to help him evade capture and prosecution, even going so far as to destroy cellphones.
Now, the scope of Wang’s alleged crimes has broadened significantly. Authorities have charged him with the 2024 murder of Chengli Li, the boyfriend of his mistress, revealing a disturbing pattern of calculated violence and betrayal.
The investigation revealed a chilling plot: Wang allegedly hired Demarques James Pearl, a man with ties to the Crips gang in Los Angeles, to carry out the hit. A substantial payment is believed to have been the motive for Pearl’s involvement.
Prosecutors allege that Wang and Pearl traveled together from the Bay Area to Los Angeles County on June 7, 2024, meticulously planning the ambush. The following day, Li was fatally shot outside his apartment in San Gabriel, the culmination of a cold and deliberate act.
