DOG RESCUED FROM HOME INVASION HELL! Family Feud ERUPTS!

A wave of relief washed over a Caledon family this week as their beloved dog, Dumbledore, was found safe. The pup vanished during a frightening home invasion early Tuesday morning, leaving the family heartbroken and authorities searching.

The invasion occurred around 1:50 a.m. near Mount Hope Road and Old Church Road, sending a jolt of fear through the quiet community. In the chaos, Dumbledore bolted from the residence, adding another layer of distress to an already terrifying situation.

Thankfully, the Caledon OPP confirmed Friday that Dumbledore had been located, bringing a joyous end to the search. While the reunion was celebrated, the investigation into the original home invasion continues, now led by specialized units.

Investigators are meticulously piecing together the events of that night, with assistance from forensic teams. Authorities assure the public there is currently no ongoing threat to safety, but are actively seeking information.

Meanwhile, in Peterborough County, a family dispute took a harrowing turn. A heated argument between two adult siblings escalated into a violent confrontation with devastating consequences.

Police were called to a residence Tuesday afternoon to find one sibling suffering from facial burns. The altercation began as a verbal disagreement, quickly spiraling into a physical struggle involving a weapon.

After a weapon was wrestled away, the accused allegedly grabbed a pot of boiling liquid and threw it at his sibling, causing significant injuries. A 43-year-old man was arrested and faces charges of assault with a weapon and causing bodily harm.

In a separate incident, authorities in Oshawa dealt with a concerning situation at the Oshawa Centre mall. A call regarding armed individuals prompted a swift response from Durham Regional Police.

Mall security alerted police to three males concealing what appeared to be handguns. Tactical officers quickly apprehended the suspects without incident, discovering two imitation firearms during a search.

The individuals involved – a 12-year-old, a 13-year-old, and a 14-year-old – were released to their parents but issued formal trespass notices, banning them from the Oshawa Centre. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the seriousness of possessing even imitation weapons in public spaces.

Police are urging anyone with information related to any of these incidents to come forward, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in maintaining public safety.
