Manchester United and AS Roma are reportedly exploring a swap that would see England striker Marcus Rashford move to the Italian club in exchange for French midfielder Manu Koné.
United have bolstered their midfield with the signings of Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos, yet still seek a high‑impact player to maintain depth. Roma’s valuation of Koné sits at €60 million, a figure United are reportedly unwilling to meet without additional compensation.
Including Rashford in the talks could reduce the cash required for Koné, while providing the forward a fresh challenge in Serie A. However, Rashford’s substantial wage bill—approximately €11 million per season—poses a significant financial hurdle for Roma.
Neither side has formalised the proposal; discussions remain at the exploratory stage with both clubs maintaining caution about a potential exchange.
