UMVA has learned that a shocking series of events unfolded in Caledon, where a truck driver's reckless actions left a trail of destruction and chaos.

The driver, a 22-year-old from Brampton, allegedly dragged down power lines and a hydro pole on Damascus Dr. before attempting to flee the scene. However, officers from the Caledon OPP Community Mobilization Unit quickly sprang into action, foiling the driver's plan and arresting him a short distance away.

An inspection of the vehicle revealed major defects, prompting charges against both the driver and the company. The young driver now faces serious charges, including careless driving, operating an unsafe commercial vehicle, failing to remain at the scene, and failing to report damage.

In a separate incident, a rideshare driver in Kitchener has been charged with careless driving causing bodily harm after a passenger was severely injured. The 38-year-old driver allegedly began moving the vehicle before the passenger was fully inside, causing the victim to fall to the ground and be run over.

The 25-year-old male victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he was treated for a broken ankle. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact the Waterloo Regional Police.

Meanwhile, a 68-year-old man from Lincoln, Ont. has been charged with two counts of indecent acts by Niagara police. The suspect allegedly committed the offenses on two separate occasions, exposing himself in public view.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are appealing for anyone with information to contact the Niagara Regional Police. Residents and businesses in the area have been asked to review any video surveillance footage and report any sightings of the suspect.

A 67-year-old man, Colin Cobb, was arrested and charged in connection with the incidents. Police are working to piece together the events and determine the full extent of the suspect's actions.
