Professional IndyCar Team Demonstrates Lightning-Fast Pit Stop for President Trump in Washington DC

The President participated in a Freedom 250 Grand Prix showcase, a significant event as the administration prepares to host the first-ever IndyCar race on the National Mall next month.

The President had previously signed an executive order, titled "Celebrating American Greatness with American Motor Racing," which directed preparations for the August 22 and 23 race.

"I'm thrilled to be here with some of the most extraordinary figures in the history of motorsports, and any sport, if you think about it, as we count down to the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, this will be like no other race ever," the President said.

IndyCar drivers Álex Palou, Felix Rosenqvist, and David Malukus joined the President at the White House for the event and gifted him a "President Trump" helmet for the upcoming Freedom 250 Grand Prix.

The President was also joined by Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, who praised the President's efforts to bring the event to the capital city.

"I'm proud to preview the Freedom 250 Grand Prix with President Trump today," Duffy said, adding, "Thank you, President Trump, for always going big for the American people — bringing raw horsepower and free tickets straight to the heart of the capital."

As the event concluded, the President watched an IndyCar crew conduct a lightning-fast pit stop, changing four tires and refueling the car in approximately 6 seconds.
