UMVA has learned that beloved Gogglebox star Lee Riley has marked a major milestone with his long-term partner Steve, celebrating an incredible 32 years together.
The Channel 4 favourite, known for his on-screen chemistry with best friend Jenny Newby, took to Instagram to share two heartwarming photos of him and Steve – one from years past, and one more recent. The smiling duo looked dashing in both snaps, with a hint of grey adding distinguished charm to their more recent photo.
Riley penned a sweet caption to commemorate the occasion, writing: “Happy anniversary to us 32 years and before you ask Steve gets the medal.” The post quickly drew a flurry of congratulations from fans and co-stars alike.
Gogglebox's own gay couple, Alfie Mulhall and Andrew Nicolls, who recently celebrated their own anniversary, were among the first to offer their well-wishes. Izzi Warner gushed: “Congratulations both of you! Literally my whole lifetime,” while her sister Ellie simply said: “Happy anniversary.”
Other Gogglebox alum, including Lisa Baggs, who appeared on the show with her family between 2020 and 2022, also chimed in with her congratulations. Riley's off-screen life with Steve is a testament to their enduring love, with the couple splitting their time between filming in Hull and living in Cyprus.
The close bond between Riley, Newby, and their respective partners is clear, with Newby and her husband Ray often visiting the couple and sharing joyful group photos on social media. Even Steve has made memorable appearances on Gogglebox, discussing everyday relationship quirks – like household chores – with Riley.
