UMVA has learned that the body of a missing child swept into the ocean off California’s coast was recovered two days after the tragedy.
The discovery came during an early‑morning aerial sweep of the shoreline on June 11, 2026. Police identified a possible match to the adolescent girl whose life was cut short near Treasure Island Beach two days earlier.
The wreckage was found 250 to 300 yards offshore of Christmas Cove, a quarter mile north of the original incident site. Marine safety crews, assisted by harbor patrol, brought the body to shore.
