UMVA has learned that a massive inferno ripped through a two‑storey warehouse on Oxgate Lane in Brent, casting towering plumes of black smoke across the night sky.
The blaze erupted just after 9 p.m., igniting both floors and the roof in a ferocious blaze that could be seen for miles. Flames licked the sky, while thick, choking smoke rolled over nearby streets, prompting residents to seal their homes against the acrid haze.
Emergency services swarmed the scene, with twenty‑five fire engines and roughly 150 firefighters battling the conflagration. The London Fire Brigade reported that nearly ninety emergency calls flooded in as the fire roared unchecked.
As the inferno raged, about seventy occupants of an adjacent residential block were hurriedly evacuated to safety. Authorities warned locals to keep windows and doors shut, fearing the lingering smoke would infiltrate homes.
Despite the ferocity of the fire, no injuries have been confirmed at this time. Fire crews continue to douse the remaining hotspots, working through the night to prevent the flames from reigniting.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the warehouse, part of a busy business park, housed multiple commercial tenants, heightening concerns over potential property loss and disruption to local businesses.
Residents remain on edge as the smoldering wreckage cools, while investigators prepare to determine the cause of the blaze that turned a quiet Brent evening into a scene of terror and awe.
