UMVA has learned that Signify Philippines is poised for double‑digit growth by year‑end, fuelled by a surge in private‑to‑public partnerships and a booming manufacturing sector.
Redin Aliling, the commercial lead for professional business, told a packed media roundtable that the company is targeting an 8%‑12% increase, mirroring last year’s momentum.
The firm’s portfolio already glows with projects across Baguio, Ormoc and Manila, ranging from solar‑powered streetlights to sleek office illumination and striking façade upgrades, plus a flagship railway lighting venture.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that Signify is eyeing a deeper foothold in government work, aiming to lift the share of public contracts from roughly 10% to as high as 15% of its total business.
“We’re still low. That’s the area where we want to go. We can grow to around 15% yearly. Then I think we will call it an accomplishment,” Aliling asserted, underscoring the strategic push.
The manufacturing renaissance sweeping the Philippines is another catalyst, with expanding factories sparking demand for warehousing, logistics and ancillary lighting solutions.
“If manufacturing is growing, all industries associated with it will also have strong potential,” Aliling explained, linking the sector’s lift to a cascade of lighting opportunities.
Innovation fuels the optimism: new LED technologies and smart‑lighting products under development are set to amplify the company’s market reach.
Nationally, the LED lighting market is projected to balloon from $693 million in 2025 to $2.4 billion by 2035, riding a 13.3% compound annual growth trajectory.
Key drivers include swelling government infrastructure budgets, falling LED hardware costs, a wave of commercial and residential retrofits, and the rollout of intelligent lighting networks.
Yet challenges linger. A lack of awareness about regulations and the upfront expense of advanced lighting solutions threatens to stall progress.
To break those barriers, Signify is intensifying education campaigns and engaging both public and private stakeholders, urging investment in sustainable, high‑performance illumination.
