DWTS Star CHEATED DEATH in Airport Inferno!

DWTS Star CHEATED DEATH in Airport Inferno!

The world held its breath last week as news broke of a harrowing crash at New York’s LaGuardia Airport. But within that story of chaos and near-tragedy was a tale of survival, shared by formerDancing With the Starsprofessional Charlotte Jorgensen.

Jorgensen, who captivated audiences alongside John O’Hurley in the show’s inaugural season, found herself aboard Air Canada flight 8646 returning from a weekend in Montreal when disaster struck. The plane collided with a fire truck on the runway, an impact that sent shockwaves through the aviation world.

In a deeply personal account, Jorgensen credited the quick thinking and ultimate sacrifice of Captain Antoine Forest and First Officer Mackenzie Gunther with saving the lives of everyone on board. She described them as “two brave souls,” acknowledging an immeasurable debt of gratitude and extending heartfelt sympathy to their families.

Dancing With the Stars alum Charlotte Jorgensen has revealed she is one of the survivors of a deadly Air Canada plane crash in New York City on March 22, 2026.

The moment of impact remains etched in Jorgensen’s memory, though strangely detached. “I felt nothing as adrenaline was rushing through my body,” she recounted, a testament to the body’s incredible response to trauma. The days that followed, however, brought a wave of physical, mental, and emotional challenges.

Now home and surrounded by the care of loved ones, Nelson and Vivianna, Jorgensen is focused on healing. She expressed profound gratitude for the outpouring of support, sending a “warm hug” to all who reached out, including herDancing With the Starsfamily.

The crash wasn’t just a story of survival; it was a testament to the courage of those who responded. More than three dozen people were treated for injuries, including firefighters and a flight attendant, Solange Tremblay, who was thrown from the plane while still strapped to her seat, landing over 320 feet from the wreckage.

Tremblay’s daughter shared the horrifying details of her mother’s injuries – shattered legs, a fractured spine, and the need for extensive surgeries and skin grafts. Remarkably, Tremblay remained conscious throughout the ordeal, a beacon of resilience amidst the devastation.

Air traffic control recordings revealed a critical miscommunication. A controller had initially cleared the fire truck to cross the runway, then issued a last-minute “stop” command. The chilling admission, “I messed up,” underscored the gravity of the situation.

Passengers on board spoke of the pilots’ decisive actions, praising their incredible reflexes. One passenger described the pilot braking “extremely hard” just as the plane touched down, a maneuver that likely prevented an even greater catastrophe. It was a split-second decision that saved countless lives.

The National Transportation Safety Board is meticulously investigating the cause of the crash, seeking to understand the sequence of events that led to this near-disaster. But beyond the investigation, the story remains one of bravery, sacrifice, and the enduring power of the human spirit.

The pilots, Antoine Forest, 30, and Mackenzie Gunther, 24, acted with unwavering skill and courage, making a difficult decision in a fraction of a second to protect everyone on board. Their heroism will not be forgotten.
