A major police operation unfolded in Huyton early this morning following a severe collision that claimed the lives of four men.
Superintendent Paul Holden expressed condolences to the families, confirming that liaison officers are providing support and that investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or was traveling through the area shortly before the collision to come forward with information.

Residents with doorbell camera footage of the black Seat Cupra involved or of the crash itself are also asked to contact police to aid the investigation.
Roads on Liverpool Road and East Prescot Road have been closed in both directions, extending from the junction with Finch Lane to the junction with Princess Drive, with closures expected to remain through the weekend.
A temporary flight restriction has been imposed over Liverpool Road, prohibiting drone activity in the vicinity of the investigation.
