Claude CRASHES Under User Flood: Is Your Access Next?

Claude CRASHES Under User Flood: Is Your Access Next?

A seismic shift is underway in the world of artificial intelligence. Following a significant decision by the Pentagon, users are abandoning the once-dominant ChatGPT in droves, seeking refuge with Anthropic’s Claude.

This mass exodus isn't simply a change of preference; it’s a statement. Users are gravitating towards Claude, perceiving it as a more ethically grounded and principled AI alternative.

The surge in popularity has been nothing short of explosive. Anthropic is now grappling with a challenge it didn’t anticipate: overwhelming demand. Their server capacity is struggling to keep pace with the influx of new users.

To manage this unprecedented growth, Anthropic has announced temporary restrictions. During peak hours, users will find their allotted session time diminishing at a faster rate.

Specifically, between 5am–11am PT / 1pm–7pm GMT on weekdays, the five-hour session limits for free, Pro, and Max subscribers will be consumed more quickly. However, weekly usage limits will remain unchanged.

Industry analysts suggest the impact will be most keenly felt by individual users, enthusiasts, and smaller teams relying on subscription plans. These users are accustomed to usage caps and occasional throttling as a means of managing shared computing resources.

While Claude remains a favored tool for many, these tightened restrictions during crucial work hours are undoubtedly frustrating. The sudden limitations highlight the growing pains of a rapidly expanding and increasingly popular AI platform.
