A family’s peaceful night was shattered Tuesday morning when their home in Caledon was invaded, and in the chaos, their beloved dog, Dumbledore, vanished.
The incident occurred around 1:50 a.m. near Mount Hope Road and Old Church Road, sending a wave of fear and worry through the community. As the intruders were inside, Dumbledore, startled and frightened, escaped into the night.
Dumbledore is a small dog, easily recognized by his distinctive curly, wavy white fur. His family is desperately searching for him, fearing for his safety and well-being after the traumatic event.
Investigators are actively pursuing leads in the home invasion, with the Caledon Community Street Crime Unit leading the charge, supported by the Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services. Every effort is being made to bring those responsible to justice.
While authorities assure the public there is no immediate threat to safety, the focus remains on finding Dumbledore and reuniting him with his family. The loss of a pet is a deeply painful experience, and the community is rallying to help.
