BLOOD LUST: Killer's Chilling Confession REVEALED!

BLOOD LUST: Killer's Chilling Confession REVEALED!

The courtroom was silent as Malique Calloo, the man accused of murder, took the stand. He began to recount the events leading up to the fatal shooting of Daniel Squalls, a young father gunned down in front of his Windsor home in 2022. His voice, though steady, carried the weight of a devastating act and a fractured past.

Calloo testified that the final confrontation stemmed from a cruel taunt. Squalls, he claimed, had mocked him with the news of an impending move to the United States – a move that would take Calloo’s daughter and her mother away from him forever. “She’s never coming back,” Squalls allegedly said, “She’s moving to the States with her daddy now.”

The words, Calloo insisted, shattered his control. A blinding rage consumed him, a “seeing red” fury that obliterated reason. He described a complete loss of composure, a descent into primal anger triggered by the threat of permanent separation from his child. Moments later, fifteen shots rang out.

Malique Calloo, 26, of Windsor, is shown in images shared by Windsor police while he was being sought on a charge of first-degree murder in the Nov. 28, 2022, shooting death of Daniel Squalls, 24.

The defense conceded Calloo fired the fatal shots, but argued for manslaughter, claiming he acted “in the heat of passion.” The scene of the shooting, chillingly, was just across the street from a daycare, a detail that underscored the senselessness of the violence. Calloo claimed he feared for his life, believing Squalls was armed, though no weapon was ever found.

A history of escalating conflict lay beneath the surface of that November afternoon. Squalls had been in a long-term relationship with a woman who once shared a connection with Calloo, and both men were fathers to her children. This complex web of relationships fueled years of animosity and simmering tension.

Calloo described a prior incident in 2019 where shots were fired at his group from a car Squalls was riding in, and another where Squalls allegedly chased him, brandishing a gun, after a birthday photoshoot. He admitted to not reporting these incidents to the police, citing a desire to avoid being labeled a “snitch.”

Under intense cross-examination, Calloo’s motivations were relentlessly probed. He acknowledged the danger Squalls posed, yet hadn’t sought legal protection or even confronted him directly, despite knowing Squalls lived with his daughter. When asked if he was concerned about his daughter’s safety, his response was startling: “I wasn’t concerned for my daughter or him trying to kill my daughter.”

He downplayed allegations of abuse towards his daughter, suggesting they were exaggerated by a disapproving grandmother. Calloo revealed he’d briefly considered pursuing custody of his daughter but abandoned the effort due to financial constraints. His testimony painted a picture of a man grappling with anger, fear, and a desperate desire to protect his child, however misguided his actions.

The acquisition of an illegal firearm followed a violent assault by Squalls in 2019, leaving Calloo with a fractured wrist. A family connection provided him with a gun, initially too large to conceal, which was later exchanged for a smaller Glock. He justified possessing the weapon as a necessary precaution against further attacks.

A witness, a friend and business partner, testified to a tense encounter between Calloo and Squalls just a month before the shooting. They “hashed it out” in a nightclub bathroom, where accusations flew – Squalls allegedly hitting Calloo’s daughter, Calloo blaming Squalls for years of conflict. Remarkably, they ended the conversation with a handshake and a fragile truce.

But the truce proved tragically short-lived. One month later, the simmering rage boiled over, culminating in the fatal shooting. The trial continues, leaving a community to grapple with the devastating consequences of a long-standing feud and a moment of unimaginable violence.
