DEMOCRAT SHOCKS NATION: Sympathizes With Terrorists, Blasts America!

A Senate candidate in Michigan ignited a debate during a recent town hall, suggesting a deeper examination of the motivations behind terrorist acts. Abdul El-Sayed, a physician and former public health official, argued that understanding the “why” is as crucial as responding to the “what” of terrorism.

During a July 2025 event, a constituent directly questioned El-Sayed’s approach to combating terrorism. His response, captured on video, centered on the idea that such violence doesn’t emerge from a vacuum, but from profound human suffering.

El-Sayed posited that terrorists must be experiencing an immense “pain and frustration and a level of lack of agency” to commit what he termed “heinous acts.” He drew a parallel to his medical practice, emphasizing the importance of understanding the root causes of suffering.

He acknowledged the necessity of current counter-terrorism strategies, including military intervention, but stressed the need for curiosity. He believes leaders must become “students of people’s pain” to truly address the issue.

El-Sayed further argued that the United States’ own actions on the global stage contribute to the problem. He suggested a perceived hypocrisy in upholding an “international rules-based order” while simultaneously violating it.

This perceived inconsistency, he explained, fuels resentment and the feeling of being unseen, potentially driving individuals towards extremism. He advocated for a response rooted in empathy, rather than escalating tensions.

The candidate, whose parents immigrated from Egypt, has been a vocal critic of Israel’s policies, previously accusing the nation of genocide. This stance, and his association with figures who openly support groups designated as terrorist organizations, has drawn scrutiny.

He has campaigned alongside an internet personality who expressed a preference for Hamas over Israel, a position that underscores the complexities surrounding El-Sayed’s views on international conflict. The candidate’s perspective challenges conventional approaches to national security.

El-Sayed is currently competing in the Democratic primary against other contenders for Michigan’s open Senate seat, setting the stage for a potentially contentious election cycle. His call for empathy and understanding promises to be a central theme of his campaign.

He believes American strength lies not in dominance, but in wisdom, empathy, justice, and consistency. El-Sayed’s vision suggests a fundamental shift in how the United States approaches global challenges and its role in the world.
