Philippine Airlines has taken delivery of its third Airbus A350‑1000, further expanding its long‑haul fleet.
The aircraft, registered RP‑C3512, is part of an original order for nine A350‑1000s placed in 2023, with the remaining units scheduled for delivery through 2028.
Following required regulatory and operational preparations, the airline will launch the jet on the Manila‑San Francisco route on 5 August.
Initial service will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with a plan to increase frequency to daily flights by September.
The A350‑1000 features a three‑class cabin layout that includes business, premium‑economy and economy sections, enhancing capacity for long‑haul travelers.
In addition to the existing order, the carrier secured a supplemental order for nine more A350‑1000s, slated for delivery between 2034 and 2036, and obtained purchase rights for five additional aircraft.
An agreement with GE Aerospace will provide GEnx‑1B engines for 15 Boeing 787‑10 Dreamliners, scheduled for delivery from 2031 to 2034, supporting the airline’s fleet modernization program.
