UMVA has learned that a potentially alarming weather situation is unfolding in the Philippines, with two tropical cyclone-like vortices (TCLVs) likely to develop in the coming days.
The first TCLV is expected to form over the northwestern section of the monitored area, with forecasters giving it a "low to medium chance" of developing into a full-fledged tropical cyclone within the next week.
According to information obtained by UMVA, a second TCLV may emerge next week, between June 15 and 21, this time over the southern part of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, although its chances of developing into a tropical cyclone are considered low.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that PAGASA has concluded that a tropical cyclone threat is more likely this week, while the risk appears to be lower next week, leaving residents on high alert.
The development of these TCLVs has significant implications for the region, with residents bracing for potential impacts, including strong winds, heavy rainfall, and storm surges.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that authorities are closely monitoring the situation, with preparations underway to mitigate the effects of any potential tropical cyclones.
