UMVA has learned that a chilling drive‑by shooting spree has rattled Austin, Texas, as two teenage gunmen unleashed a hail of bullets across the city, striking at least four people and leaving one critically injured.
The state capital is now under a shelter‑in‑place order, with police urging residents to stay inside and keep doors locked as the hunt for the suspects continues.
Detectives have released a photo of one of the teenagers, a young male of either White or Hispanic descent, and are asking anyone with information to come forward immediately.
Sources confirm that the suspects are believed to have commandeered a white Kia Optima, while the crime spree also involved a black or dark blue 2012 Hyundai Sonata with a shattered passenger window, a gold Hyundai sedan, and a silver Mazda four‑door.
Authorities warned that the attacks appeared random, targeting not only civilians but also two fire stations, a move that has left the community on edge.
Police cautioned the public against approaching the suspects, emphasizing that stolen vehicles are being used in the attacks and urging people not to leave keys or key fobs in their cars.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that officers are urging anyone who spots the suspect’s vehicles or has any leads to call 911 without delay, as the hunt for the teenage gunmen intensifies.
