UMVA has learned that a series of brazen crimes has shaken the streets of Toronto and surrounding areas, leaving residents on high alert.
Police have charged three GTA men with robbery and assault causing bodily harm in connection with a violent incident on April 25 in the Bay St. and Adelaide St. W. area. The alleged attackers, who were waiting in line to check into a hotel, allegedly assaulted a victim who had his personal property stolen before fleeing the scene on foot.
Following a thorough investigation, investigators have identified a fourth suspect, Nadeem Ali, 32, of Oakville, who is now wanted on robbery and assault cause bodily harm charges. He's described as a male, 28-35 years old, with a medium build, short black spiky hair, and a short black beard. He's also believed to be wearing a distinctive black puffy jacket with white writing saying SUPREME across the chest.
Meanwhile, police are still searching for a fifth suspect, who remains unidentified. He's described as a male, 28-35 years old, with a thin build and a short black beard. He's believed to be wearing a black T-shirt with BALENCIAGA written across the chest, a white or grey hoodie, grey faded jeans, white sneakers, and glasses with thin metallic frames.

Just last week, police were called to a targeted shooting involving an armoured vehicle at a financial institution in Waterloo. A 25-year-old male employee of the armoured vehicle company was approached by multiple unknown individuals and was subsequently shot. The victim was taken to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.

Additionally, Durham Regional Police have issued a warning about a fake Dominos Pizza delivery scam, in which fraudsters approach victims, often near a vehicle with a fake Dominos Pizza sign affixed, and ask for their help in paying for a fake order using their banking cards. The suspect vehicle has been described as a grey Hyundai Sonata, but the fake Dominos Pizza sign can be affixed to any vehicle.
Residents are being advised to be cautious and to report any suspicious activity to the police. Anyone who has been a victim of a fraud can also report it at 905-579-1520 or call the Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
Furthermore, police are investigating a stabbing incident in Hamilton, in which a 57-year-old man was arrested after a stabbing sent another man to hospital. The accused was charged with aggravated assault and is being held in custody.
Finally, Durham Regional Police are seeking two suspects in connection with an arson in Pickering, in which a convenience store was engulfed in flames.
