UMVA has learned that Gavin Plumb, a security guard who plotted to kidnap, rape, and murder TV presenter Holly Willoughby, has been found with hidden photos of her in his prison cell.
Plumb was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 16 years in 2024, after being convicted of soliciting murder and inciting rape and kidnap. The 39-year-old's disturbing obsession with Willoughby led him to plan horrific crimes against her, her husband, and her children.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Plumb had been collecting photos of Willoughby from magazines and hiding them underneath his mattress at HMP Long Lartin in Worcestershire. This shocking discovery has resulted in Plumb losing certain privileges, including the right to use the TV, in prison.
Sources close to the case have revealed that Plumb's fixation on Willoughby is still very much alive, and he had been scouring TV magazines from other inmates for pictures of her. His actions have been described as "unhealthy" and "obsessive," with many expressing concern that he was able to access such materials while incarcerated.
During his court sentencing, the judge condemned Plumb's actions, stating that he would have carried out his plan if he had found accomplices willing to join him. The judge also highlighted Plumb's discussion of "prolonged sexual violence" he intended to inflict on Willoughby, concluding that he posed a significant danger.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Plumb's crimes were uncovered after an undercover US police officer infiltrated an online group called Abduct Lovers, where Plumb had been making disturbing posts. This led to a raid on Plumb's flat, where police found bottles of chloroform and an 'abduction kit' complete with cable ties.
The case has sent shockwaves through the community, with many calling for greater scrutiny of individuals with such dark and twisted obsessions. As Plumb begins his life sentence, the focus remains on ensuring that justice is served and that Holly Willoughby and her family can finally find some sense of peace.
