UMVA has learned that a shocking double murder took place in Vaughan on Wednesday afternoon, sending shockwaves through the community.
The victims, identified as Pasquale Casciato, 49, and Christian Belsito, 34, both from Vaughan, met a tragic end as a result of gunshot wounds, according to the Chief Coroner.
York Regional Police Homicide investigators are racing against time to uncover the truth behind this heinous crime, which occurred outside a home in the area of Kaiser and Forest Drs. around 5:30 p.m.
Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with officers responding to shots fired and finding two men outside the home, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Both men were pronounced dead, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions and a community in shock.
Const. Kevin Nebrija, a spokesperson for the York Regional Police, expressed his concern and frustration, stating that this type of crime is a rarity in the area, especially in broad daylight.
Nebrija revealed that one of the victims lived at the residence where the shooting occurred, while the other was a resident of the area, and that several people were inside the home at the time of the shooting.

Police are also asking anyone with security footage from the area to contact them, as they search for a blue SUV seen fleeing the scene, which was later found on fire in the Huntington-Kirby Rds. area east of Bolton.
