The Bureau of Immigration has arrested a 57-year-old Australian national in Bacolod City under a standing deportation order.
The arrest took place in Barangay Sum-ag through operatives from the agency’s Regional Intelligence Operations Unit in Region VI.
The operation was conducted with support from the Philippine National Police, Naval Forces Central, and the Philippine Air Force.
Officials said the deportation order followed complaints of harassment and psychological abuse against the foreign national.
Immigration personnel located the individual through intelligence monitoring before verifying his identity and executing the arrest.
He was subsequently transferred to Manila and detained at the Bureau of Immigration Warden Facility in Muntinlupa City.
He will remain in custody there until deportation proceedings are concluded.
