UMVA has learned that a shocking on-air incident occurred during Tuesday's episode of Good Morning Britain, when ITV inadvertently broadcast a profane word during an interview with Australian singer Delta Goodrem.

The unexpected moment happened during a split-screen shot, just before 8am, when footage from Goodrem's recent performance at London's Mighty Hoopla festival was shown, featuring a fan with a sign displaying a crude word.

Viewers were quick to react, expressing their surprise and disapproval on social media, with one writing: "God no! It can't be real." Another viewer commented: "That's not very nice to put that up when Delta is on… tut tut."

A third viewer quipped: "Love the sign that says 'c*' in the audience watching Delta. Oops, should have looked at that footage before airing it." The incident has since been addressed, with the offending clip removed from the catch-up service.

Delta Goodrem was on the show promoting her new album Pure, which is set to be released on 6 November, and discussing her recent appearance at Eurovision, where she finished in fourth place with her power ballad 'Eclipse'.

The singer also sparked speculation about a possible appearance on Strictly Come Dancing, but refused to confirm or deny the rumours during the interview, saying only that she's "always open" to new opportunities and would need to "work really hard" if she were to take part.

Goodrem's upcoming album Pure is generating significant buzz, with 'Eclipse' already announced as one of the tracks. Fans are eagerly anticipating the release, and the singer's potential involvement in Strictly Come Dancing has added to the excitement.
