Microsoft has released a preview version of the next Windows update for members of the Windows Insider Program. This update brings various improvements to several pre-installed apps, enhancing the overall Windows 11 experience.
While individual updates may not be particularly significant on their own, the collective changes contribute to a smoother and more refined base Windows 11 experience. Microsoft has highlighted several improvements in the Calculator app, including more accurate results in square root calculations, readable text in high-contrast designs, and correct layout for right-to-left writing languages.
Additionally, the Calculator app now features a reliable startup after upgrade, resolving an issue where outdated settings remained and prevented the app from opening.
The Sound Recorder app has also received notable improvements, including a waveform display for Bluetooth microphones, a fixed non-functional horizontal scroll bar, and a smoother deletion process. Furthermore, a memory leak that occurred every time a recording started has been resolved.
Other updates include the addition of watermarks to AI-generated images in the Photos app, a zoom slider to the Camera app, and the ability to customize subtitles in Media Player. The Clock app now allows users to delay the alarm by 15 minutes.
