Police release new information about SUV involved in hit-and-run

Police are seeking tips from the public after releasing new information about avehicle involved in a hit-and-runlast week in North York.


Toronto Police said they responded to a personal injury collision Wednesday just before 11 p.m. in the Bayview-Heathcote Aves. area, where a vehicle was travelling southbound on Bayview before making a left-hand turn onto eastbound Heathcote.


A 15-year-old operating an e-bike northbound on Bayview was struck by the vehicle, which fled from the scene.


The teen was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.


Police said they are looking for a dark grey Toyota Rav 4 from the 2013 to 2015 model years. The SUV is missing a driver’s side mirror cap and chrome window moulding.
