Mikel Artetahas revealed that the Brazilian centre-back suffered ‘an issue’ during Arsenal’s 4-0 win againstAtletico Madridin theChampions Leagueon Tuesday night.
The 27-year-old has been one of Arsenal’s standout performers this season and has played a key role in helping the Gunners keep five clean sheets in the Premier League so far this season.
Speaking at his press conference on Friday,Mikel Artetasaid: ‘Gabi had to leave the pitch with an issue, and he hasn’t been able to train yet.
‘So, let’s see how he evolves in the next 24 hours, whether he’s available or not for the weekend.’

Arteta also ruled out the prospect of Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz or Martin Odegaard returning within the next week.
‘None are available in the next week or so,’ the Arsenal manager said.
